Do you know the elements that increase the readability of a book? Remember, a highly readable book is always written in a sophisticated manner, it is well refined and polished, and is mature enough to read.

If you want to fulfill all the potentials of your book, make sure that you have developed the following elements in your book. Just have a look at them;

1: Make sure that your words are in working order:

Whenever you are writing a book, avoid typos. Make sure to sort out the commonly made mistakes of words like there/their, die/dye, etc. if you are starting a paragraph with a past tense, it must be ending with a past tense. Always make sure to put commas at their place to figure out the reader about your sentence. So, if you have to spell-check your writing, then it’s good for you.

2: Make sure that the characters are recognized properly:

A reader always wants to relate to your characters in the story. Therefore, it is good for you to always recognize your characters in the story. The characters must be unique and at the same time noticeable. Even a bad character in your story needs a compensating quality.

3: Sharpen your dialogues:

Since dialogue is a way to pass on the information between the character to the reader. Your dialogues tell about your personality as well as about your relationships. You need to about repeat too many clever banters, the small talks, and the uninterrupted speeches in the story. Make sure that at least two people in the story are conversing, exchanging words, asking questions, and answering each other.

4: Show but Don’t tell:

One of the most complicated things a writer has to do is to show certain things despite telling. Like He is happy, or she is angry. This is telling. Which does not need to be done while writing for a story. A writer must describe the feelings and put them into words like she smiles as she enters the room. That is what showing is and it helps the reader understand the story.

5: Build your world:

Building your world requires establishing a clear timeline, a recognizable story, and an understood scene. Being a writer, always ensure to build your world in which there are a few characters who are living their lives. You can do this by the magic of your words only. A writer has no camera to show us, no recorder to give us the sirens, no actors to judge, but just a choice of words to make us fall in love with his writings.

Conclusion:

So, being a writer, you are always concerned about the readability of your book and its feedback. Thereupon, these elements are the key components to help you increase the readability of your book and also they enhance the quality of your writing.
